This project presents the design and implementation of a humanoid educational assistant robot tailored for young children, aiming to enhance early learning experiences through intelligent, interactive technology. By integrating artificial intelligence modules such as face verification, emotion recognition, speech-to-text and text-to-speech systems, gesture-based interaction, and natural language understanding via Qwen-Arabic, the robot is capable of engaging with children in meaningful and adaptive ways. The system is powered by a Jetson Orin NX for real-time AI inference and an STM32 microcontroller for precise motor control, enabling synchronized physical responses through articulated gestures.
Beyond the robot itself, a dedicated mobile application bridges the gap between children, educators, and parents, allowing real-time progress tracking and interactive session customization. The mechanical design emphasizes safety, modularity, and child-friendly aesthetics, while the embedded system ensures low-latency control across multiple actuators. Through detailed testing and validation, the robot demonstrated robust performance in speech recognition, face verification, and emotional responsiveness—critical features for maintaining engagement in early education settings.
